Our client, a leading developer and vendor of document management, knowledge management and collaboration software and solutions, is seeking an Account Executive to sell to Corporate Development groups and professionals in the Petroleum and Financial services verticals.

 

Currently our client is growing its Financial Services practice, focusing on niche vertical markets, such as Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development, Alternative Investment and Investment Banking.  

 

This position will place special emphasis on selling to Corporate Development groups and professionals in the Petroleum / Energy services industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted advisor-level relationships with various technical and business unit management decision-makers at targeted logo accounts.

  • Meet an agreed monthly/annual performance in both client activity (meetings, discovery, interviews, online and in-person demos) and quota achievement.

Skills, Experience and Education Requirements

  • Candidates must have 7+ years experience in selling complex software and services solutions to multiple decision makers, including Executive ("C-Level") management, Information Technology and Business Unit management.
  • Experience in selling to Fortune 1000 corporations required
  • Enterprise Software Sales, On Demand, SaaS sales experience preferred.
  • Candidates must be highly proficient in all aspects of solution selling including discovery, including giving presentations/demos to technical and non-technical audiences, and designing solutions that address a prospect's specific business needs and goals.
  • Strong hunter with excellent prospecting and account penetration skills.   
  • Our client's average deal size is in the 20-75K range.  This is not a position for a Major Account Manager that does 3-5 large deals per year.
  • Excels in collaborative selling environment.
  • Ability to work with marketing, product management, sales engineering, sales support and technical product and solutions design teams.
  • Demonstrates control and maturity in facing challenging situation with demanding prospects and customers, demonstrates adaptability, creativity and resourcefulness.

    Our client, a leading security technology vendor,  is currently looking for a Sales Engineer (located in the USA) to support sales of its Security Video Storage Solutions.  This position will support the North American region, both for direct and channel sales opportunities.    This position will require up to 30-40% travel to support sales, train channel partners and attend industry trade shows.  Our client prefers candidates in the Chicago, IL regions, as many of their clients and prospects are in the Gaming industry.

    The Sales Engineer will work with the sales team in a pre-sales role to develop and position solutions involving the firm's products. Presentations and conference call discussions are a critical part of this position. During the qualifying process, confirm that firm's products meet the prospect's requirements and assist sales in technical qualification. Throughout the proposal process, articulate and demonstrate our client's solutions, influence customer's technical requirements, and position products relative to competition.     Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all aspects of Construction of multiple telecommunications, collocation and data center facilities. 
    • The Construction Manager will be responsible for the coordination of installation and equipment vendors, by managing and scheduling Inside Plant, Outside Plant, HVAC, AC/DC Power  upgrades and customer builds.
    • Team building, training skills and technical telecommunications and power systems knowledge are essential. Scheduling of plant program maintenance, customer installations, obtaining and reviewing vendor contracts and forecasting facility space and power growth are required.
    • Duties
    • Build out critical AC/DC and Emergency power plant to guarantee facility uptime, for multiple facilities.
    • Build out critical HVAC cooling plant to guarantee facility uptime, for multiple facilities. 
    • Oversee package logistics with Project Management and Facility Coordination teams.
    • Interface and direct HVAC, Emergency back-up and Power vendors.
    • Prepare and maintain a Program Maintenance program for all facility power and HVAC plant.
    • Provide design and walk-through required in obtaining vendor proposals for Plant construction projects, such as UPS installs and upgrades, site survey and due diligence.
    • Negotiate leasehold improvement with landlords and property management firms.
    • Work with vendors, consultants, internal resources and contractors to ensure quality, on-time and on-budget delivery of construction projects.
    • Responsible for bid process on all construction, including issuing RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.
    • Advise Sales Team on feasibility of new customer builds based upon power, space and application requirements.
    • Forecast growing customer space and power needs and provide and implement appropriate measures.
    • Design and Project Manage the build-out of additional facility space. Asbestos, Landmark Preservation, Acoustical requirements, DOB permits and Building management approvals are all part of the planning phases.
    • Design and Project Manage Power upgrades with respect to the build-out of additional facility space. Planning of Commercial power feeds, switch-gear, emergency generator power and fuel risers, UPS and DC power plant additions are included in power upgrades.

     

    Education, Experience and Skills requirements

    • B.A. or B.S. with strong preference for Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum 7 years direct Telecommunications Service provider experience
    • Minimum of 6 years of construction management, with a strong preference for those with experience in the collocation, data center, carrier hotel or other sector of the Network Services Provider (Telco, LEC, CLEC, Carrier) market.
    • Must be detail oriented with excellent communications, interpersonal and oral/written presentation skills. Must be able to manage staff and lead projects/teams independently.
    • Ability to mange multiple tasks simultaneously. Oversee regular hour and after hour plant maintenance. 
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel or other comparable spreadsheet tools. Proficiency with rest of Microsoft Office suite (Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Explorer) and or/equivalents.  Proven organizational ability and attention to detail a must.  Strong analytical skills.  Must be a self starter, proactive, flexible, and able to work within and meet deadlines.
